As more government controlled imports were being liberalized in the early 90’s, the few international freight forwarders on the island were not equipped to deliver a fast and efficient haulage service to the fruit trade.  Subsequently, our logistics department identified an investment opportunity since local freight operators were not providing the specialized service that we were expecting.      To this regard, on the 2nd January 1995, Fahrenheit Freight Forwarders Co. Ltd. was established.  The main objective of the company was to operate as overseas haulage contractors.

Initially our operations were mainly related to the transportation of fresh fruit.  However, we have since expanded our business and we now cater for other third party companies as well.   In fact, the fruit business is now only generating some 30% of the company annual turnover.    Today our regular routes cover incoming and outgoing service to countries like Italy, Germany, Benelux, Austria and Tunisia.   
We are now extending further our North and South brand services to include the EU new member states and the Balkans.        

Continuous Investment

Over the years, Fahrenheit Freight Forwarders Co Ltd has invested heavily in its plant and machinery and from one mechanical horse in 1999; today the company boasts a fleet of 15 trucks, 10 of which are continuously on mainland Europe.        

As a result of Malta joining the EU in 2004, the company can now freely trade in mainland Europe without the need to bring trucks back to Malta after each trip. This helped the company to obtain various contracts for freight forwarding in mainland Europe.         During 2006, Fahrenheit Freight Forwarders Co Ltd aims to increase further its truck fleet, while also replacing old trucks with new ones in order to deliver a consistently efficient service and increase business.         Fahrenheit Freight Forwarders Co Ltd is a member of the Malta Association Trailer Operators.  The company also operates as sub contractor to other haulers within this organization.    Our fleets of tractors are all satellite monitored thus providing more security to our clients.   All our drivers are experienced and well acquainted with European road networks.

Extensive range of services

In addition to overseas haulage, our company also offers a range of other services, such as customs clearance for air and sea cargo, local haulage in dry and reefer trucks, bonded warehousing and dry to controlled temperature warehousing from -5° degrees to +20° Celsius. 

We also provide a versatile fleet of some 80 units of trailers ranging from reefers, hanging garments, super cube, goose-neclas and others.oring and aim to obtain ISO 9002 certification shortly.
